Description
Lane County intends to fund one or more projects in which, agencies will provide Eviction Prevention services to households referred through the Homelessness/Eviction Prevention Waitlist Cognito form.
Providers will operate Eviction Prevention services that help prevent households from becoming unhoused, where the household is income eligible and who are at imminent risk of homelessness-having received an eviction notice, notice to vacate, late payment notice, or are doubled-up/couch-surfing. Eviction Prevention projects funded will offer a range of assistance including, but not limited to; case management, housing search and placement services, landlord/tenant mediation, tenant legal services, financial literacy/credit repair services and assistance with rental application fees, security deposits, last month’s rent, utility deposits, utility payments and move in costs, in order to stabilize households and reduce the likelihood that households return to need homelessness prevention services. In addition to utilizing the Homeless Management Information System for required data entry, projects will be required to utilize Cognito to submit, receive, and process referrals for services.
