Description

Metro is seeking sealed bids for Transportation and Disposal of Ammunition services. The scope of work consists of pickup and disposal of waste ammunition collected in Metro's hazardous waste program, in accordance with the requirements outlined in the ITB. Required Disposal Method: Incineration - destructive incineration in which energy is not recovered. Incineration must be performed by a permitted facility. Estimated annual quantity: up to 8,000 Description: Ammunition less than 0.50 caliber that does not include tracer, incendiary, armor or piercing ammunition, or Weatherby 0.460 caliber rounds. Packaging specification(s): DOT approved fiber drum. Packaging will be performed in accordance with applicable regulations and facility permit requirements. Please see attached ITB for details.
