Description
1.01 INTRODUCTION:
Water Environment Services (“WES”) is a special district operating under an ORS 190 Partnership that produces clean water and protects water quality for more than 190,000 people living and working in Clackamas County, Oregon. WES owns and operates five resource recovery facilities, 23 pumping stations and more than 350 miles of pipes. WES serves the Cities of Milwaukie, Happy Valley, Oregon City, West Linn, Gladstone, Johnson City, and unincorporated areas within Clackamas County.
1.02 BACKGROUND:
The Tri-City Influent Pump Station Expansion Project will increase the firm capacity
of the pump station from 47.6 million gallons per day (MGD) to 72.4 MGD to meet
projected future demands. This will be accomplished by replacing all five existing
pumps with larger capacity dry-pit submersible pumps. The capacity of the existing
electrical systems, including transformers, switchgear, and motor control centers,
must be expanded in kind to provide sufficient power for the new, larger pumps.
