Why contract with the City of Beaverton?

The city aspires to achieve a minimum of 10% participation of firms certified by COBID in its overall dollar amount of contracting and purchasing activities, including goods and services, personal/professional services, architectural & engineering and related services, and construction of public improvements. There are three primary initiatives aimed at achieving this goal:

  • Good Faith Effort Program for Construction and Personal Services Contracts valued over $100,000

  • Increasing staff awareness and use of firms certified by COBID in procurements valued under $100,000

  • Annual reports and regular tracking of city dollars spent with firms certified by COBID
