Description
Metro, acting by and through the appointed Metropolitan Exposition Recreation Commission (MERC), is requesting proposals for Community Engagement for the Albina Acknowledgement project for the Oregon Convention Center. This project aims to create a public-facing display at the Oregon Convention Center that serves two distinct purposes: firstly, to acknowledge the historical displacement of Black individuals, families, and businesses from the Albina neighborhood due to the I-5 urban renewal project, and secondly, to inspire hope for the future by showcasing the Center's commitment to inclusion, equity, and economic impact within Portland.
For this RFP, Metro offers free coaching for interested COBID firms. The coaching will be done by a contractor of Metro’s choice. The coaching will be a 30 – 60 minute session about writing a proposal in general. Any interested firms must communicate that interest by 2:00 pm on March 20, 2024 to bidsandproposals@oregonmetro.gov. Metro staff will be in touch to connect you with the contractor for scheduling.

Pre-Proposal Conference Information
A voluntary pre-proposal conference will be held virtually on March 20, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Interested proposers and subcontractors are encouraged to attend the conference in order to gain information about the RFP requirements.
