Description
RFP 3981 Toxicologist: Review & Update Metro's Approved Pesticide List and Revise Metro's Pesticide Use Form
The purpose of the Toxics Reduction project is to update Metro’s approved pesticide list and revise Metro’s pesticide use request process.
Metro’s Sustainability Plan goal calls for toxics reduction by the elimination of the use of PBT and other priority toxic and hazardous substances. Additionally, Metro’s IPM plan calls for toxics reduction, in part by using only approved products, tracking their use, and utilization of a Pesticide Use Request (PUR) process on new products. Metro’s PUR process needs a revision to improve alignment with Metro’s Sustainability and IPM plans.
Metro would prefer to contract with one toxicologist that could meet the needs of this project. However, due to the complexity of pesticides, Metro may need to contract with more than one toxicologist.
