Description
In general, the Scope of Work includes administration of the Lane County Rural Tourism Marketing Program (RTMP) to focus on the business of selling, packaging, and promotion for the McKenzie River area from Cedar Flat to McKenzie Bridge in a unified, well-planned program. To facilitate the implementation of the McKenzie River area RTMP the County will provide annual Transient Lodging Tax (TLT) allocations pursuant to Lane Code 4.005.175(G). Allocations are to be approved by the Lane County Board of Commissioners annually and distributed to the selected entity from 2025-2030 (5 years). Future funding is to be approved by the Lane County Board of Commissioners on an annual basis at their discretion. The annual funding amount if any is not guaranteed and the amount varies year to year.
The Board will consider RTMP distributions to be allocated on an annual basis. The County has identified $51,162 for the 2025 RTMP allocation for the McKenzie River area and seeks proposals to address RTMP tourism product development and administration in the McKenzie River area to address the following objectives and criteria to maximize:
1. Attraction of visitors to rural communities,
2. The length of stay by visitors,
3. County-wide visitation,
4. Return visits to rural Lane County communities.
