Description
The City of Bowie is seeking qualified offerors to submit a proposal to combine elements of the City's Sustainability Plan and its Climate Action Plan to create a new guiding Environmental Action Plan, focused on transformative and progressive action across all elements of our environment, both natural and built.
Create a plan that combines elements of a borad-ranging Sustainability Plan (equity, inclusion, cultures of sustainability) with the focus of a Climate Action Plan. This plan will be seperated into main topics of action, such as Energy Efficiency, Water, Waste Reduction, Transportation, Builty Environment, Open Space/Natural Environment, Energy, etc.
The Consultant chosen, shall facilitate stakeholder and resident engagement through stakeholder meetings and an online survey.

About Bowie
Bowie, Maryland, is a city of 54,727 residents, acccording to the 2010 Census, located in Prince George's County, and convenient to Washington, DC, Annapolis, and Baltimore.
The city consists of approximately 18-square miles. There are more than 1,100 acres set aside as parks or as preserved open space, including over 22 miles of paths and trails, and 75 ball fields.
Bowie has a nonpartisan city government directed by a mayor and six council members. The City Council meets on the first and third Mondays of most months in sessions that are open to the public.
