Description
The City of Bowie, Maryland requests proposals for tree trimming, removal, and maintenance services to be provided on an as needed basis in the city of Bowie, Maryland.
The work shall be consistent with the Scope of Services contained in this Request for Proposals (RFP). The City reserves the right to reject any proposals if the City is not satisfied that such bidder is properly qualified to carry out the obligations of the contract. The City further reserves the right to reduce or modify the scope of the Services to meet funding limits and the City’s schedule. By submission of a proposal, the bidder represents that it is able to comply with all requirements contained in the Request for Proposals.
All questions or requests for clarifications regarding this Request for Proposals shall be submitted by email to Robin Jones at rjones@cityofbowie.org. Deadline for inquiries is 12:00 p.m. on Friday, September 22, 2023. Written responses to all questions and/or clarifications will be issued as an addendum to the solicitation no later than Wednesday, September 27, 2023, to all those who have registered with Bid Locker and downloaded the specifications and bid documents.
Proposals shall be submitted electronically to the City through the Bid Locker platform at https://bidlocker.us/details/3672_Tree_Trimming_Removal_And_Maintenance_Services. Bids shall be accepted until 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 4, 2023. Any interested party may register with Bid Locker at https://bidlocker.us/Account/Signup at no cost and access the solicitation documents. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud via a virtual meeting. A link to join the meeting will be emailed to all parties who have registered with Bid Locker regarding this RFP. All blanks on each form provided by the City in connection with this Request for Proposals must be filled in, and no change shall be made to any part of the text of the form.
Prospective bidders that obtain this document from any source other than Bid Locker, should immediately register with Bid Locker to ensure receipt of addenda and other communications regarding this solicitation.
It is the responsibility of each bidder or prospective bidder to refer to the Bid Locker website for any available amendments, addenda, cancellations, and additional information regarding this RFP. It is not the City of Bowie’s responsibility to notify participating bidders by email or by any other means of any such amendments, addenda, cancellations or additional information.
Neither the City nor its representatives shall be liable for any expenses incurred by anyone in connection with the preparation of a response to this RFP.

Bowie, Maryland, is a city of 54,727 residents, acccording to the 2010 Census, located in Prince George's County, and convenient to Washington, DC, Annapolis, and Baltimore.
The city consists of approximately 18-square miles. There are more than 1,100 acres set aside as parks or as preserved open space, including over 22 miles of paths and trails, and 75 ball fields.
Bowie has a nonpartisan city government directed by a mayor and six council members. The City Council meets on the first and third Mondays of most months in sessions that are open to the public.
