Description
The City of Bowie, Maryland requests proposals for private property maintenance services in conjunction with the Code Compliance Division (“RFP”). Work is generated from violations of the City Code. Tasks will include grass cutting, trimming of bushes, removal of trash and debris and pumping of private pools. The RFP documents may be obtained at no cost through Bid Locker at https://bidlocker.us/details/3474_2023_2024_Private_Property_Lawn_Maintenance_And_Cleanup_Services.
Registration to use Bid Locker is at https://bidlocker.us/Account/Signup and is free to all interested parties.
Electronic (pdf) bids will be received through Bid Locker at https://bidlocker.us/details/3474_2023_2024_Private_Property_Lawn_Maintenance_And_Cleanup_Services until 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 28, 2023. The City of Bowie reserves the right to reject any bids.
All questions and requests for clarifications regarding this Request for Proposal shall be submitted by email to Robin Jones, Contracts Specialist at rjones@cityofbowie.org with a copy to Jamie L. Braun, Code Compliance Supervisor at jbraun@cityofbowie.org. Deadline for inquiries is 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 21, 2023. Written responses to all questions and/or clarifications will be issued no later than Tuesday, April 25, 2023 to all those who request the RFP.
The City encourages certified disadvantaged business entities to submit a proposal.

About Bowie
Bowie, Maryland, is a city of 54,727 residents, acccording to the 2010 Census, located in Prince George's County, and convenient to Washington, DC, Annapolis, and Baltimore.
The city consists of approximately 18-square miles. There are more than 1,100 acres set aside as parks or as preserved open space, including over 22 miles of paths and trails, and 75 ball fields.
Bowie has a nonpartisan city government directed by a mayor and six council members. The City Council meets on the first and third Mondays of most months in sessions that are open to the public.
