Description

The City of Bowie, Maryland requests proposals for analytical laboratory services and support for the City’s water and wastewater treatment and distribution system.  The term of the contract will be for three (3) years with an option by the City to extend the contract for two (2) additional one-year periods.  

Electronic (pdf) proposals will be received through Bid Locker at https://bidlocker.us/details/3473_Analytical_Laboratory_Services_And_Support_For_Water_And_Wastewater_Treatment_Plants_And_Distribution_System until 1:00 p.m.. on Tuesday, May 9, 2023. The City of Bowie reserves the right to reject any proposals.

All questions or requests for clarifications regarding this Request for Proposals shall be submitted by email to Jackie Tayman at jtayman@cityofbowie.org no later than 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 25, 2023.  Written responses to all questions and/or clarifications will be issued as an addendum to the solicitation no later than Friday, April 28, 2023, to all those who have registered with Bid Locker and downloaded the specifications and solicitation documents.

The City encourages certified disadvantaged business entities to submit a proposal.

About Bowie

Bowie, Maryland, is a city of 54,727 residents, acccording to the 2010 Census, located in Prince George's County, and convenient to Washington, DC, Annapolis, and Baltimore.

The city consists of approximately 18-square miles. There are more than 1,100 acres set aside as parks or as preserved open space, including over 22 miles of paths and trails, and 75 ball fields.

Bowie has a nonpartisan city government directed by a mayor and six council members. The City Council meets on the first and third Mondays of most months in sessions that are open to the public.
