Description

The City of Bowie, Maryland requests bids to furnish two (2) dumpsters and to dump, haul and dispose of the contents of the two (2) dumpsters, which will be located at the Wastewater Treatment Plant, Public Works Department, 16550 Annapolis Road, Bowie, Maryland. 

Electronic (pdf) bids will be received through Bid Locker at https://bidlocker.us/details/3461_Furnishing_Two_2_Dumpsters_And_Dumping_Hauling_And_Disposal_Of_Contents until 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 16, 2023. The City of Bowie reserves the right to reject any bids.

All questions or requests for clarifications regarding this Invitation for Bids shall be submitted by email to Jackie Tayman at jtayman@cityofbowie.org.  Deadline for inquiries is 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 26, 2023.  Written responses to all questions and/or clarifications will be issued as an addendum to the solicitation no later than Thursday, May 4, 2023, to all those who have registered with Bid Locker and downloaded the specifications and bid documents.

The City encourages certified disadvantaged business entities to submit a bid.

About Bowie

Bowie, Maryland, is a city of 54,727 residents, acccording to the 2010 Census, located in Prince George's County, and convenient to Washington, DC, Annapolis, and Baltimore.

The city consists of approximately 18-square miles. There are more than 1,100 acres set aside as parks or as preserved open space, including over 22 miles of paths and trails, and 75 ball fields.

Bowie has a nonpartisan city government directed by a mayor and six council members. The City Council meets on the first and third Mondays of most months in sessions that are open to the public.
