Description
Metro is requesting proposals for transportation, processing, and marketing of ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals, Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) appliances and tires on rims for the Waste Prevention and Environmental Services Department. Proposals are due as indicated on the RFP cover page.
Metro intends to award a contract to a single firm to provide the required services. Metro makes no guarantee of tonnage and reserves the right to direct any portion of the ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals, CFC appliances, and tires on rims to other facilities, contractors, or programs during the contract term. The resulting contract will not grant the Contractor exclusive rights to these materials.

Pre-Proposal Conference Information
A voluntary pre-proposal conference will be held at Metro South Transfer Station, 2001 Washington St, Oregon City, OR 97045 on August 12, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. Interested proposers and subcontractors are strongly encouraged to attend the conference to view the site and learn more about the RFP requirements. RSVP is required.
The preproposal conference will not occur if no RSVPs are received. Hard hat, high-visibility vest, and safety glasses are required on site. The Metro site is a non-smoking facility.
